To my surprise, I woke up to SNOW this morning! Even though I had heard on the local news that some places in Texas were going to get snow, I definitely wasn't expecting any. I think the last time it snowed here was in December 2008.
This is the boardwalk at a local park at about 6:30 a.m. When you walked through the snow, it was just thick enough to crunch beneath your feet.
A view from the boardwalk.
The ground and trees covered with a bit of snow.
A fisheye view of the fishing pier. I like the footprints someone had made walking on the pier to check out the view. :)
It was exciting to see the snow on everything this morning but by noon the beautiful white snow was just a distant memory as it had all melted away. :(
Fall is almost here. Hurray! We have had cooler temperatures this week and it sure has been nice. I know it will get hot again for at least a few more weeks before it stays cool for a while. After all, this is Texas. If you live in or have lived in Texas, you know what the weather is like and that we tend to wear short-sleeved shirts and shorts until November, if not December! I am definitely looking forward to it getting cooler as Summer is not my favorite time of year. I am ready for sweater weather. :)
I have noticed that the pictures I take have one thing in common the majority of the time. I like to take macro or up close pictures. :) I had been waiting for this bee to land and hoping that it wouldn't get mad and sting me. I paid so much attention to this bee that............
I almost missed this little ladybug on another yellow bloom nearby!
